Educational Qualification:
- Civil: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering. with a minimum of 60% marks
- Electrical: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering. with a minimum of 60% marks
- Mechanical: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering. with a minimum of 60% marks
- System: Recognized 1st Class Degree in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / I.T or any 1st Class Degree with MCA
- Electronics & Communication: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in a relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum 60% marks.
- Geology: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks
- Industrial Engineering: Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering. with a minimum of 60% marks
- Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with minimum 60% marks, and Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks
- Company Secretary: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute, having acquired the Company Secretary qualification with Associate/ Fellow membership of ICSI. Preference would be given to those candidates who have worked in a listed Company

General/OBC/EWS candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹1180 (₹1000 + GST) through online mode only, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates and employees of Coal India Limited are exempted, and no other payment mode will be accepted.
