The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment to the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026, for approximately 12256 Group B and Group C vacancies in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations of the Government of India, as well as in various Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals.

Name of examination: Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026.
Name of Posts: Various Group B and Group C Posts (Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Inspector, Sub Inspector, Inspector of Posts, Statistical Investigator, Office Superintendent, Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, etc.)

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: There are four categories of age ranges: 18 to 27 years, 20 to 30 years, 18 to 30 years, and 18 to 30 years.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below:-
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years
- PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
Educational Qualification:
Junior Statistical Officer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Demography, Population Studies, or Operations Research, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Computer Application, or Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute.
All Other Posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
The candidates who have appeared in the final year of their graduation can also apply, they must possess the essential qualification as on 01.08.2026.
