Other Eligibility Critreria:
Nationality and Residency:
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Must be a permanent resident of the village or villages for which application is made
- Valid proof of residency (Voter ID, Aadhaar, or village council certificate) required
Age and Education:
- Minimum age: 30 years as of May 20, 2026
- Educational qualification: Must have passed HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent examination from a recognized institution
- Age proof: HSLC Admit Card or Birth Certificate
Family Status:
- Must not have more than two children as per Government of Assam notification No. RLR 187/2007/ Patt/24 dated July 19, 2019
- Exemptions apply for individuals who already had more than two children before the notification date and for twins
- A sworn affidavit confirming this must be submitted with the application
Financial and Employment Status:
- Must not be financially insolvent
- Must not be a defaulter of any government dues
- Must not be a government employee
- Health and Physical Fitness
- Must be physically capable and mentally sound
- A health certificate from a government medical officer required

1. Self-attested copies of educational certificates (HSLC or equivalent)
2. Age proof (HSLC Admit Card or Birth Certificate)
3. Residency proof (Voter ID, Aadhaar, or village council certificate)
4. Sworn affidavit confirming not more than two children (attested by First Class Magistrate or Notary)
5. Social work experience certificate (if applicable)
6. Two recent passport-size photographs
7. Relationship proof (if claiming preference from former Gaonpradhan family)
8. Certificate of being debt-free (Bakijai Khon Mukt)
9. Land ownership documents (land deed/Khatian copy with Dag and Patta numbers)
10. Health certificate from a government medical officer
