Post Name: Junior Translation Officer (JTO)
Number of Vacancies: 04 (03 for ISRO Units, 01 for IIST)
Pay Scale: Level-6 in the Pay Matrix (₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400). In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per Central Government rules are admissible.

Age Limit:
Must be between 18 and 35 years as of October 13, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India orders.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any of the following combinations:
Master's in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination at the degree level.
OR Master's in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination at the degree level.
OR Master's in any subject (other than Hindi or English) with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject.
Selection Process:
1. Written Test: A 100-mark exam consisting of:
- Part A: 50 objective-type questions (General Hindi & General English).
- Part B: Descriptive questions (translation and thought expansion).
- Candidates must score a minimum of 60% to qualify for the next stage.
2. Skill Test: A qualifying test (on a 'Go-No-Go' basis) involving Précis Writing and Translation (Hindi to English and vice-versa). Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% to pass. The final selection will be based only on the marks obtained in the Written Test.
Application Fees:
₹750 (excluding taxes). Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted and will receive a full refund. For others, ₹500 will be refunded after deducting the application fee.
