Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has recently announced an employment notification for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with over 2,326 vacancies available across 25 work centres in India.

Duration: The Duration of training is 12 months for all trades mentioned above.
Max. Allowed Location: A candidate is to choose and can apply for one trade at one work centre/ Location only.
Stipend:
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 12,300/-
- Trade Apprentice: Rs. 8,200/- to Rs. 10,560/-
- Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 10,900/-
Sector-wise vacancy:
ONGC is inviting applications for apprenticeship in various trades and disciplines. The positions are distributed across multiple sectors and work centres, including:
- Northern Sector - Dehradun, Delhi, Jodhpur: 165
- Mumbai Sector - Mumbai, Panvel, Nhava, Goa, Hazira, Uran: 569
- Western Sector - Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Ankleshwar, Mehsana, Cambay: 856
- Eastern Sector - Nazira & Sivasagar, Jorhat, Silchar: 458
- Southern Sector - Chennai, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Karaikal: 322
- Central Sector - Agartala, Kolkata, Bokaro: 253

- Nazira & Sivasagar: 370
Educational Qualification:
- ITI Trades: Relevant ITI certificate in trades like COPA, Electrician, Fitter, etc.
- Diploma Trades: 3-year diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
- Graduate Trades: B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, B.E., B.Tech, or equivalent
Age Limit (as on 06.11.2025):
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 24 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
- PwBD: +10 years
Selection Process:
Selection will be based on merit drawn from the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories will be as per the Government of India norms.
