Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), (Marketing Division), Eastern Region has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 509 Trade, Technician & Graduate Apprentices (Technical and Non – Technical) Vacancies.

The corporation is offering positions across thirteen states and union territories in Eastern India, including West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Stipend: Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025, as amended from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

For Trade Apprentice Posts: in technical trades like Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, and Machinist, candidates must have completed Matriculation followed by a regular full-time two-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognised by NCVT or SCVT.

Technician Apprentice Posts: Require a three-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institute or university. General, EWS, and OBC-NCL category candidates need a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates for reserved positions need 45 percent marks.

Graduate Apprentice Posts: Candidates have to cmpleted with a regular full-time graduation degree in any discipline. The same percentage requirements apply: 50 percent for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates, and 45 per cent for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates applying for reserved positions.

For Data Entry Operator Posts: For freshers, candidates need to have completed Class 12th with the requisite percentage of marks. For skilled certificate holder positions, candidates additionally need a Skill Certificate of Domestic Data Entry Operator recognised under the National Skill Qualifications Framework.

Age Limit:

The age requirement specifies a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum of 24 years as of December 31, 2025.

Age relaxations are available:
  • 5 years for SC and ST candidates (up to 29 years)
  • 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates (up to 27 years)
  • 10 years for PwBD candidates (up to 15 years for SC/ST PwBD candidates).

How to Apply ?

The application process involves two important steps that must both be completed within the stipulated timeline.

Step One - Portal Registration: Candidates must first register and apply through the appropriate government portal based on their category. Trade Apprentices for ITI and Data Entry Operator positions should register at the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Technician Apprentices with diploma qualifications and Graduate Apprentices should register at the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at nats.education.gov.in.

After registration, candidates need to login using their credentials and apply for apprenticeship opportunities with Indian Oil Corporation Limited Marketing Division Eastern Region using the establishment ID. For NATS portal users, the establishment ID is EWBKOC000077, and for NAPS portal users, it is E05201900011.

Step Two - Microsoft Form Submission: After successfully applying on the NATS or NAPS portal, candidates must also fill out a Microsoft Form available at the provided link. This form requires furnishing additional details including choices of three preferred locations for training and document verification. This step must be completed by January 9, 2026, failing which candidates will not receive their call letter for document verification.
