Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 (Pay Band 2) + Grade Pay ₹5,200 + allowances

Age Limit:
18–40 years as on 01-01-2026 (born between 01-01-1986 and 01-01-2008).
Educational Qualification:
HSLC or equivalent passed from a recognized board.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality & Residency: Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
- Language: Must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
- Employment Exchange: Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Physical Standards:
✅ Height:
- Male: 162.5 cm (Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC) / 160 cm (ST)
- Female: 144.5 cm (Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC) / 142 cm (ST)
- Chest (Male): Minimum 81 cm (unexpanded)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
✅ Medical Fitness: Must be free from specified diseases and physical deformities. Eyesight: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other without correction.
Selection Process:
The selection will be conducted in three phases:
✅ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 40 Marks
- Male: 1600m race & long jump (min. 335 cm)
- Female: 800m race & long jump (min. 244 cm)
✅ Written Test – 50 Marks
⏺ 100 MCQs from:
- Elementary Arithmetic
- General English
- Logical Reasoning
- Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
- General Awareness
⏺ No negative marking. Medium: Assamese/Bodo/Bengali/English.
- Oral/Viva Voce – 5 Marks
✅ NCC Weightage – Up to 5 Marks
- ‘C’ Certificate: 5 marks
- ‘B’ Certificate: 3 marks
- ‘A’ Certificate: 2 marks
