CSIR - North East Institute of Science & Technology (NEIST), Jorhat, Assam has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 03 Project Assistant posts.
CSIR NEIST Jorhat Vacancy Details:
1. Project Associate-I (Engineering)
Number of Vacancies: 1
Project: Smart Village Mission Project
Educational Qualifications:
- BE or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- M.E or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Desirable: Knowledge of technology deployment in rural areas
Emoluments:
- ₹31,000 per month + HRA (for CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET or GATE qualified candidates)
- ₹25,000 per month + HRA (for others)
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women candidates as per Government of India/CSIR rules)
2. Project Associate-I (Botany)
Number of Vacancies: 1
Project: Smart Village Mission Project
Educational Qualifications: M.Sc in Botany (Plant Taxonomy, Ethnobotany)
Emoluments:
- ₹31,000 per month + HRA (for CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET or GATE qualified candidates)
- ₹25,000 per month + HRA (for others)
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women candidates as per Government of India/CSIR rules).
3. Project Assistant/Field Assistant
Number of Vacancies: 1
Project: Smart Village Mission Project
Educational Qualifications: 3-year Diploma in Industrial Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Emoluments: ₹20,000 per month + HRA
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women candidates as per Government of India/CSIR rules)/

4. Fill in all required details carefully
5. Submit the application to generate a Registration Number

7. Download the registration form from the "DOWNLOAD" section of the portal
8. Submit the signed copy at the time of interview
