Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 577 HEMM Operators (Trainee), Paramedical Staff, and Overseers (Civil) Vacancy.

1. HEMM Operator (Trainee)

Total No of Posts: 472

Pay Scale & Emoluments of NCL Recruitment:

Selected candidates will be placed in the respective Time & Salary (T&S) grades as per the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA-XI).

For HEMM Operators (Trainee):
  • Training Period: 3 Years (as Category I Daily Rated)
  • Basic Pay during Training: ₹1,502.66 per day
  • Post-Training: Upon successful completion, candidates will be regularized as HEMM Operator (Excavation) in Category D.

For Paramedical Staff & Overseer (Civil):
  • T&S Grade C (e.g., Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Overseer): Basic Pay ₹47,330.25 per month + DA + Allowances.
  • T&S Grade D (e.g., Jr. Technician ECG, Dental Tech): Basic Pay ₹43,775.55 per month + DA + Allowances.
  • Probation/Training: 1 Year for Grade C; 3 Years for Grade D (post-training placement in Grade C subject to trade test).

Age Limit (as of May 01, 2026):

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: +5 Years
  • OBC-NCL: +3 Years
  • PwBD (UR): +10 Years
  • PwBD (OBC): +13 Years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): +15 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 Years (Max age cap 50 years)

Educational Qualification:

1. HEMM Operators:
  • Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: 55% for UR/EWS, 50% for OBC-NCL, 45% for SC/ST.
  • License: Valid HMV/Transport License issued by any RTO/RTA in India.

2. Staff Nurse:
  • 10+2 Pass.
  • B.Sc. Nursing OR Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institute.
  • Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.

3. Pharmacist:
  • 10+2 with Science.
  • Diploma in Pharmacy from a PCI-approved institute.
  • Valid registration with the Pharmacy Council.
  • Technicians (Pathology/Radiography/Physiotherapy):
  • Relevant Diploma from a government-recognized institute.

4. Jr. Technician (ECG) / Dental / Optometry:
  • 10+2 Pass.
  • Relevant Diploma in ECG Technology, Dentistry, or Optometry.
  • Note: Jr. ECG Technician requires 2 years of experience in a hospital/nursing home.

5. Overseer (Civil):
  • Matriculation (10th Pass).
  • 3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT). There is no interview for these posts.

1. CBT Structure for HEMM Operators:
  • Total Questions: 100 MCQs
  • Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Marks: 100 (1 Mark per question)
  • Negative Marking: No
  • Syllabus: Road Signs, Traffic Rules, Motor Vehicle Act, Basic Machine Knowledge (Engine, Brakes, etc.), General Awareness, and Basic Math.

2. CBT Structure for Paramedical Staff & Overseer (Civil):
  • Total Questions: 100 MCQs
  • Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Section A (Technical): 70 Questions (70 Marks) – Subject-specific knowledge.
  • Section B (General): 30 Questions (30 Marks) – GK, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness.
  • Negative Marking: No

Qualifying Marks:
  • UR/EWS: 50%
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/ESM: 40%

Application Fee:

  • UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹1,180/- (₹1,000 Fee + ₹180 GST)
  • SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Departmental: Nil (Free)
