PGIMER Recruitment 2026:
The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, one of India's premier medical institutions, has released a major recruitment notification for 60 posts across Group A, B, and C categories. This includes positions at both the main Chandigarh campus and the PGI Satellite Centre in Sangrur, Punjab.
PGIMER Vacancy Details:
1. Library Attendant Grade-I
No of Posts: 1
Pay Scale: Level-3 (Rs.21700- 69100/-)
Educational Qualification:
- Matric with Science.
- Diploma in Library Science.
- One year experience of handling books & Journals in Library & repute.
Age Limit: 18-30 years
2. Animal Attendant
No of Posts: 1
Pay Scale: Level-1 (Rs.18000-56900/-)
Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation or its equivalent.
- Should be able to read and write in any language viz. Hindi/English/Punjabi.
- Knowledge of cleaning & dusting.

3. Barber

5. Medical Officer

Educational Qualification:
- A medical qualification including in I or II Schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.
- The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council
- Should have special training in Family Planning & Educational methods.
- Preference will be given to Postgraduate degree or diploma in the speciality concerned.

6. Computer Programmer

Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematics (with Statistics)/Operation Research/Physics or
- Degree in Engineering/Computer Science of a recognized University or equivalent.
- One year experience of actual programming on an electronic computer or in operation of an electronic computer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (with Statistics)/Physics/Statistics from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Seven years’ experience of operation of Electronic Computer including experience of actual programming Electronic Computer.

7. Pharmacist Grade-II

Pay Scale: Level-5 (Rs.29200-92300/-)
Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized University/Board.
- Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Institution/Board.
- Should be a registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Age Limit: 18-30 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years

- PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years

Step 6: Upload all required documents in the prescribed format
