Name of Post: Director of Health Service, Assam

Age Limit: Minimum age 59 years and maximum age 63 years as on 1st January of 2026.
Salary: As per The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017 (Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000, Pay Band-4 + Grade Pay Rs. 17,500 + other allowances as admissible).
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- MBBS Degree and having Registration under Assam Medical Council. Candidate with Post Graduate Qualifications will be given preference with degree holders getting priority over diploma holders.
- Minimum of 20 (twenty) years of service in the State Health Service.
- 5 (five) years of administrative experience in the rank of SDM&HO and above.
Selection Process:
- The selection will be conducted by a Selection Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary, Assam.
- Eligible candidates will be required to appear before the Selection Committee.
- Candidates must produce original testimonials of qualification, date of birth, working experience, etc., along with the application form at the time of the interview.
