Name of Post: Geophysicist
Number of Vacancies: 01
Department: Directorate of Geology and Mining, Assam (Mines and Minerals Department)
Age Limit: 21 - 38 years.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000 (Pay Band-4) + Grade Pay Rs. 13,900 + other allowances as admissible under Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in any one of the following disciplines:
- M.Sc. in Geophysics
- M.Sc. in Applied Geophysics
- M.Sc. Tech. in Applied Geophysics
- M.Sc. Tech. in Geophysics
- M.Tech. in Exploration Geophysics
- M.Tech. in Geophysics
- Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Geophysics
- The degree must be from any University or Institution recognized by the Government.
- Candidates must upload all semester/year-wise mark sheets reflecting the subjects studied and the final pass certificate.
Experience: At least 5 (Five) years of experience in Geophysical work in the Field and Laboratory.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years (up to 43 years)
- OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 41 years)
- PwBD candidates: 10 years (irrespective of category)

- OBC / MOBC: Rs. 197.20
- SC/ST/BPL/PwBD: Rs. 47.20

6. Upload the required documents in PDF format (max 4 MB per file, 200 dpi, greyscale recommended):
- Recent Photograph (50 KB – 200 KB, not older than 3 months)
- Signature (50 KB – 200 KB)
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets
- Age proof certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
