Educational Qualification:
- A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognized University.
- A Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with evidence of published work.
- Professor/Associate Professor with total service experience of at least 15 years of Teaching, Research, or Administration in Universities, Colleges, and other institutions of Higher Education.
- Minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as per Appendix-1 for direct recruitment of Principal in Colleges.
- Minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- Minimum of 110 research scores as per Appendix-II at Table-2 (UGC guideline 18 July 2018).
Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
Age and Marks Relaxation:
A relaxation of 5% marks is provided at Graduate and Master's Degree levels for ECI/ET/Differently Abled categories for eligibility and assessing good academic record. A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is allowed for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September 1991.
