Post Name: Junior Assistant
No. of Posts: 9 (Category-wise: UR-5, OBC/MOBC-2, ST(H)-1, ST(P)-1)
Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹8,700 (Level-9)
Educational Qualification:
- Must hold a Graduate degree from a UGC-recognized university
- Preferred: Prior experience in government or reputed educational/research institutions, strong proficiency in English and Assamese (read, write, speak), computer literacy, and ability to multitask
Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025):
- As per Assam Government O.M. No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 02.09.2020
- No upper age limit for current regular employees of Cotton University
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories per state norms
Application Fee:
- ₹1,000 for General/OBC/EWS
- ₹500 for SC/ST candidates (50% concession)
- Non-refundable
How to Apply for Cotton University Recruitment 2026:
Interested and eligible candidates who have fulfilled the above mentioned eligibility criteria may apply online through the official Portal of Cotton University on or before the last date.
Fill the application form and upload scanned copies of:
- HSLC/HS admit card or certificate (as age proof)
- Graduation degree & marksheet
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Form “A” (Declaration of family details)
Applicants must send the printed copy of the online submitted form along with the relevant documents offline to the Registrar, Cotton University, Administrative Building, Cotton University, Panbazar, Guwahati-781001, Assam, India by post or in person on or before 09.02.2026.
