CBSE, on behalf of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) & Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS,) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 14967 non-teaching and teaching Vacancies.

About the Organizations:
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS): An autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, KVS runs over 1,288 schools across India and abroad, focusing on holistic education.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS): Also under the Ministry of Education, NVS manages 653 fully residential schools mainly in rural areas, providing quality education to talented children.
Post-Wise Vacancy Overview:
Vacancies are available for various posts in both KVS and NVS, including:
- Group A Posts: Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice-Principal
- Teaching Posts: PGTs, TGTs, PRTs, Special Educators, Librarians
- Non-Teaching Posts: Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lab Attendant, and more
Reservation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories as per government norms.
Essential Qualifications:
- Teaching Posts: Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized institution. CTET qualification is required for TGTs and PRTs.
- Non-Teaching Posts: Graduation or equivalent with relevant experience as specified.

Pay Scale:
Selected candidates will be placed in the following pay levels as per the 7th Pay Commission:
- Assistant Commissioner, Principal: Level-12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200)
- PGTs: Level-8 (₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100)
- TGTs: Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- PRTs: Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
- Non-Teaching Posts: Level-1 to Level-10 as applicable
Age Limit & Relaxation:
Maximum age limits vary by post, generally between 27 and 50 years.
Age relaxation is provided for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and regular KVS/NVS employees as per government rules.
Selection Process:
The selection will involve:
- Tier-I: Preliminary exam (Objective Type – Qualifying)
- Tier-II: Subject Knowledge exam (Objective + Descriptive)
- Interview/Skill Test: For certain posts
Exams will be bilingual (Hindi & English), except for language-specific posts.
Application Fee:
- ₹1,200 to ₹2,300 (varies by post) + ₹500 processing fee
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates (processing fee still applicable)
