The Women & Child Development Department, Government of Assam, under POSHAN Abhiyaan, has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 03 District Project Assistants on a contractual basis in select districts.

Name of Post: District Project Assistant

District wise vacancies:
- Baksa: 1
- Dima Hasao: 1
- Dibrugarh: 1
Salary: Rs. 18,000/- per month
Age Limit: 21-38 years
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate degree or
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Social Sciences, or Nutrition
Experience: Minimum 2 years in capacity-building roles with supervisory responsibilities
Skills Required:
- Strong communication in local language + basic English
- Computer proficiency (email, internet, MS Office)
- Willingness to travel frequently within the district
- Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience (3+ years) in government social sector programs related to health, nutrition, education, or sanitation
- Familiarity with ICDS or similar missions
How to Apply:
1. Download or obtain Annexure-1 (prescribed application format)
2. Fill it out completely and attach self-attested copies of:
- Educational certificates
- Experience proof
- Proof of residence (Voter ID, Aadhaar, PRC, Driving Licence, or Circle Officer’s certificate)
3. Submit the application in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Application for District Project Assistant – [District Name]”
4. Send or deliver it only to the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) of your district before 30 December 2025
Note: No applications will be accepted at the State Poshan Abhiyaan office in Guwahati.
Selection Process:
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or oral interview
- Dates, venue, and format will be notified by the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC)
- No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the selection process
